Joohee Lee piano Teacher

Hello and welcome, My name is Joohee Lee, and I have had the joy of teaching piano to children in the San Diego area for over 30 years.

From the very first note to full performances on stage, I have walked alongside my students as they discover the beauty of music.

I previously taught for many years in Scripps Ranch, and I now live in San Marcos, where I travel to students' homes to offer personalized, one-on-one lessons.

My teaching philosophy is simple...I believe that children should grow to love piano, not be forced into it.

With patience, kindness, and understanding, I help even reluctant learners feel confident and joyful at the piano.

Music should never be a burden—it should be a part of life.

It should become a tool for expression, confidence, and emotional growth.

Guiding growth through experienceOver the years, I’ve guided many students through the National Piano Guild Auditions, CM test ,helping them prepare with confidence and perform with pride.

In addition, I organize annual recitals, home concert, benefit concerts, and senior home performances, where students not only showcase their progress but also share love through music with the community.

I believe music is more than a skill—it’s a way to connect, to express, and to give back.
